ProjectProgress adds Project Cost Management to it's SaaS offering
Monday 15 Sept 2008
ProjectProgress has announced the launch of a new finance module, as the latest addition to its suite of project management tools. Available as ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) the new ProjectFinance system provides comprehensive financial management for projects, and can be bought as a stand-alone product, or as an addition to the other parts of the comprehensive suite of Project Management tools.
The module has been developed to deliver a holistic view of the financial status of a project by automatically highlighting key issues. Users will be able to manage, track and report on all aspects of their project finances, and to take control of budgets and spend commitments. As with other elements of the ProjectProgress offering, the new finance capability has been developed to run automatically in a PRINCE2 environment.
Adam Smith, CEO of ProjectProgress comments:
“Busting the budget is an eternal problem, our new system gives managers a set of controls which will allow them to spot issues and therefore potential cost increases very early on. Users get a ‘dashboard’ view of their project with all of their data in one place, it means that they can get away from the numerous mundane spreadsheets that are often associated with financial control. Pre-launch trials indicate that the product has been very well received on both private and public sector projects, it delivers sound business benefits, saves time and controls your money.”
